These Terms of Use explain the rules and expectations for using Richual. By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these terms and to Apple's applicable App Store terms. If you do not agree, do not use Richual.
1. What Richual Is
Richual is a personal finance tracking app that helps you manage accounts, record transactions, set budgets, track savings goals, and understand your spending habits. It is designed for personal use and not commercial use.
2. Not Financial Advice
Any information displayed by the app, including calculations, budget insights, or spending analysis, is for informational purposes only. You should not rely on the app as a substitute for professional financial advice.
We make no guarantees about the accuracy of calculations or exchange rates. Always consult a qualified financial professional for decisions involving your finances.
3. Your Data
Everything you enter into Richual is stored on your device and, if enabled, in your personal iCloud account. Because we don't have servers or access to your data, we're unable to recover it on your behalf.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, protecting access to your device and Apple ID, and maintaining any backups you need. We recommend keeping iCloud sync enabled because it helps keep your data available across your devices, but no storage or sync system is guaranteed to prevent every loss.
4. App Purchase
Richual is offered as a paid app that you purchase before use through Apple's App Store. Prices may vary by region and may change over time, so please refer to the App Store for current pricing in your area.
By purchasing Richual, you also agree to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).
Key purchase terms:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Since purchases are handled by Apple, any refund requests should be made through Apple Support.
- Your access to the app is governed by Apple's purchase systems and the terms that apply to App Store purchases.
- Your purchase gives you access to the app as made available through the App Store, subject to these terms.
5. Promotions and Offer Codes
Richual may occasionally offer promotional access, discounts, or offer codes. Eligibility, duration, and availability may vary. Any special terms shown with a specific promotion will also apply.
Promotional offers have no cash value, may not be resold, and may be changed or withdrawn where permitted by law. Additional terms shown with a specific promotion also apply.
6. Exchange Rates
Richual provides currency conversion using exchange rates from a third party service. These rates are indicative and may not perfectly match live market rates, so they're best used as a reference rather than for precise financial transactions.
7. Acceptable Use
Richual is designed for lawful, personal finance tracking. You may not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass purchase or access controls, reverse engineer or redistribute it except where applicable law expressly permits, use it to violate another person's rights, or use it commercially on behalf of others without written permission.
8. Intellectual Property
Richual and all of its content, features, design, and underlying code are the intellectual property of the developer. You are granted a limited license that is personal, not exclusive, and not transferable, in accordance with these terms.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
We work hard to make Richual reliable and useful, but like any software, it may occasionally have bugs or unexpected behavior. The app is provided as is, and while we do our best, we can't guarantee it will be perfect at all times.
Richual is a tracking tool, not a financial system of record. We are not liable for any losses that may result from reliance on information displayed in the app, including calculations or exchange rates. If something doesn't look right, always double check with your bank or a financial professional.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use Richual.
10. Updates and Availability
We're committed to improving Richual and plan to continue developing it. From time to time, we may release updates that add, change, or remove features to make the app better. While we strive to keep the app available and reliable, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times, including during maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control.
11. Platform and Third Party Services
Richual is built on Apple's platforms and uses the following Apple services as part of its normal operation:
- iCloud / CloudKit: used for syncing your data across your devices.
- App Store / StoreKit: used for managing app purchases and purchase verification.
These are governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
The app also uses one third party service:
- Exchange rate service: used to provide currency conversion data.
We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third party services.
12. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Richual at any time by deleting the app from your device. We may suspend or discontinue access to Richual or particular features if reasonably necessary to protect the app, comply with law, address misuse, or discontinue the service.
13. Age and Eligibility
You must be legally able to agree to these terms in your jurisdiction. If you are under the age of legal majority, you may use Richual only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable law. If any issue arises, we hope to resolve it through good faith communication first.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms occasionally. When we do, we'll post the revised version here with a new effective date. If there are significant changes, we'll do our best to let you know.
